Wordless Wednesday

Like many of you I am behind on a lot of my blog post. I am slowly but surely getting back into it. Its been super busy around here. I know I am SUPER late with the video of Whiskey's new trick-I will be getting to that soon, but in the meantime we have been perfecting it. :-) But for now here are some pictures for Wordless Wednesday (and some of them are for my pleasure, but of course end with Whiskey!)

These are the kind of seats my awesome boyfriends get for me at the hockey games. Its good to have someone on the inside.

the FL Panthers are in the navy blue!

And as promised and ending picture of my little girl "gangsta style"

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Stink Bomb

Hello everyone, my arm is doing much better I have my first physical therapy appointment tomorrow-which I am greatly looking forward too. In other news, my cousin call me yesterday saying the place she works has a branch in my area and they are looking to hire. I went over this morning to hand in my resume and had an impromptu interview and got the job. :-) It is retail again (blah) but its a beauty type store that only sells to licensed professional and the hours are WAY better. 8:30-6 Monday-Friday 8:30-4 Saturday closed Sunday, are the store hours. So much better than having to close a store at 9:30PM and getting home after 10. whew... So there is lots of happy news on this front.
So on my way home from the interview I decided my arm was good enough to take Whiskey to the park (normal county park, not dog). We loaded up and off we went, she was a good little girl for the time. The park was busier than normal on a Thursday afternoon so I kept a close eye on her and let her wander without the leash. (Soon I am going to start training her on whistle training to call her back if need be). We were just about to venture into the "little woods" area when HUGE drops of rain started falling, so we headed back to the car. On the way back to the car she found some fresh duck(and/or)dog poop, and decided I MUST ROLL IN IT! By the time I got to her she had too much damage. all over the side of her face. (uuug!) I put her on the leash so she didn't get tempted to go for round 2. I figured "oh I'll just give her a bath when I get home." Yea... No... Not so much... My arm is better but I sure cant hold and wash a squirmy dog. I called the closest pet store (PetCo) to ask how much for a basic bath and if they had any open. It would be about $25 for a brush out and bath, and I added nails to be trimmed too. So for $30 she is at PetCo right now getting beautified.
I kind of wish I had gotten a picture of her goofy little stinky face but it was gross and she wouldn't sit still.

Hope everyone is having a good week, and hopefully next week I will have a video up of Whiskey newest trick- I wont ruin it anymore though you'll just have wait- it is pretty awesome and my best friend almost peed laughing! :-)

PS: Edit to post: Whiskey is back from getting clean. They must like me over there her whole package was $22 :-) So she got a new toy. Its a stuffed bear with 4 squeakers in it. She loves it and she smells so pretty now! And she has her "new year"collar on, and I will post pictures with the new trick post.

First 2011 Post

I have mobility in my right arm now! YAY! It is still not up to par, but I can type with both hands (not for long periods of time though). I start physical therapy on Friday, and wont have full use of it for another 4 weeks. I can bend it up towards my neck and almost straight down. The problem I am having is rotating it, but hopefully therapy will help that.

Our New Year was a very quiet one with just my mom, me, Josh & Whiskey. Usually we throw a big party but with my arm that didn't happen among other reasons. :-( My best friend was suppose to be the GA until Sunday but it turns out her and her husband drove down though the night and got here Friday morning. It was a good surprise to see them.
And now some pictures:
