Tomorrow is a big day!

I am posting this a day early because tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me. But tomorrow is a BIG DAY! Its a monumental milestone.... Tomorrow my little Whiskey will be part of our family for 1 year. It was one year ago (tomorrow) that I met with Anna and saw (back then) Roxie for the first time. She was adorable! I signed the trial weekend paper work and before the weekend was up I told Anna she was staying. She has been with us ever since and we send updates to her foster mom, Anna all the time. Anna couldn't be happier she found a forever home! These are the first pictures taken of her in my house the day she came home.

She has since destroyed that lil red dog, but she has plenty more to make up for it

In daddy's arms

The picture I saw of her on petfinder.com

On another note: Whiskey went to get her nailed trimmed the other day. We went to Petco instead of Petsmart, and I love them much better! She got a little Halloween cookie treat bag and an adorable bandanna. She also got a little alien squeaky toy out of too. She's not fond of the groomers, but the girl that did it was so nice and patient. Since then I had to go to JoAnne's to get some things to complete our family Halloween costumes (pictures will be up next weekend). They had ALL their Halloween stuff on super duper sale, so she got another Halloween bandanna that has reflective ghost and a Halloween collar.

He cute bandanna from the groomers and her alien.

He pretty candy corn collar, It also has a light up blinky light in the shape of a star.

Happy Monday Video!

I thought I would start this monday off with a video of Whiskey. We were in my room playing with her ball when I blindly threw it and it landed in my hamper. This is her trying to get it out.
Enjoy!

Big Girl and Park Day (again)

So today I made the move and bought a storage unit. Its from target and has all the needs I desire. Its a 9 square cubbie hole unit, which you can buy clothe drawers and leave some open. While I was on the buying roll, I bought a cute little angled jar for her cookies and a new food and water dish. Because after all she is a big girl now! There are a few extra cubbies left over for moi to use. She also got a toothbrush- I'll post on that when it happens, it'll be her first brushing (from me anyways).

We also went to the park again a few days ago and I took some more pictures (as Amy stated) on the agility course on crack. :-)
We have a lot of fun at that park, we can usually get it all to ourselves (at specific times) and it SUPER close walking distance from the house.

Ready or not here I come!

Hi mom!

Ah I made it!
There was a blooper photo of this too. We walked up to the tunnel part and she wouldn't run though so I went first. Well when mommy went Whiskey had to follow, I almost ended up sitting on her. So she had to turn around and go back until my big butt got out of the kiddie tunnel.

Ma, I'm trying to cool.

She loves having the place to herself.

Got to find something stinky to roll in.

I'm a big girl now

Whiskey is growing up to be a big girl! We have decided that since she does not use her kennel/house anymore; we are going to fold it up (to save room) and add a bookcase/shelving system to store ALL of her stuff. I'll keep you updated and pictures when this is finished. Right now I am pricing bookcase/shelves.

On a side note: I was eating a chocolate chip cookie today on my sofa, with a drooling dog next me. I told her I cant share because this is chocolate and she cant eat it. I popped the last piece into my mouth and she gave me the saddest most pathetic look ever. I wish I had camera strapped to my head at all time.

Park Day

On Thursday Whiskey and I took a short little walk to the park down the street. No one else was there so she had free roam, however there is a lake at this park so there were a few times where I had to chase her down. She would "subtly" walk towards the lake and I'd tell her "Whiskey no." She would look back and just keep trotting like I cant hear you. After a few round ups away from the lake I caught her attention when I decided to swing. She didn't quite know what to make of this, she started jumping up on my legs and in an essence pushing me. After that we went to the jungle gym. Her favorite part. I took a few pictures on here so I'll let them speak

Strike a pose
Uh... not so sure about this mom...
Here I come!!!
We gots to go through the tunnel to the other side.
Yea not so sure about this again...
I'll just guard post here. :-)

Bark in the Park

Bark in the Park for the FL marlins was yesterday and it was a great success! I will admit I was a nervous wreck the whole time because of Whiskey's grumpy growly with other dogs, but she did great! We saw a lot of nice dogs of every size and breed: Newfoundland, beagle, Boston terrier, st. Bernard and lots of those little purse "accessory" dogs.
The beagle was sitting a few rows behind us and kept barking (well, more like a "whoooop" sound). and that would start Whiskey, then another dog down front and everyone would get a kick out of it. There was a Yorkie and chocolate lab sitting behind us and they were real nice. The "dad" would put with Yorkie on his shoulder like she was a parrot and the chocolate lab thought he was the size of the Yorkie and kept trying to get onto the "mom's" lap. Enough talk. I know you all want to get to the pictures. :-) So here they are:

Lets go ma!

This is cool, but I cant see anything.

Now I can see.

Mommy's lap is so comfortable!

Mai family!

We have to go down the ramp too.......

Thanks for the lift daddy!

PS: We were on the jumbo TV too! :-) And I think it is safe to say, we were the only CORGI!
