This post kinda-sort-of-in-a-round-about-way has do with Whiskey.
I want a new camera.
I have a cute little personal stick in your back pocket casio exilim. I love it. I really do. My boyfriend got it for me for our one year (date) anniversary.
I want a new one though. I want one that I can adjust the focus and change the lens for cool effects. A nice "big" one. There are so many makes and models out there. I have no idea where to start. The last one that I could manually focus on my own was my dad's OLD cannon 35mm that took real film. Do I go with:
Cannon
Sony
Casio
I've read a few blogs that use a DSLR (?).
Help with this big decision please.
Any info will be helpful.
Thank you

I have a Nikon D40. I'm happy with it. If I had a million dollars though, I'd probably upgrade a bit :) What really makes the difference though, are the lenses. Nikon DSLRs and Cannon Rebels are both great cameras bases. Just get one of those and then get a lens w/vibration reduction and you'll be good to go to start off! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you are really stumped, try reviews.cnet.com for camera reviews. Just search for different models you are considering and they'll tell you how good it is :)
Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xs Black 10.1 MP Digital SLR With 18-55-IS lens and 2.5" LCD
ReplyDeleteKelly is a pro, no doubt. Why not check out some other blogs and if you find some photos you really love, email the blogger and ask how the do it.
ReplyDeleteI have a Nikon D3000, which is the starter DSLR from Nikon. As Kelly said, Nikon and Cannon Rebels are probably the best. And they both have starter versions. I really love mine. The pictures I post now for the most part are from that camera. Good luck!
